Job summary

CetraRuddy is seeking a Project Architect to join our team in New York. You will serve as the technical lead, ensuring the drawing set's quality and coordinating with clients, consultants, and vendors through construction administration.

The ideal candidate has led projects from documentation through construction, presents confidently to clients, and takes ownership of outcomes. We offer a hybrid schedule and collaborative growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture; Master’s preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Licensure strongly preferred; if not licensed, pursuing licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to produce a comprehensive, coordinated drawing set.
• Experience completing construction administration on at least one project.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning, and construction techniques.
• Experience leading coordination with structural, MEP, and other consultants.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for assigned projects, overseeing drawing set quality across all phases.
• Lead work plans and deliverables as task leader on large projects.
• Possible project management on smaller projects with client communication oversight.
• Oversee coordination with outside consultants and resolve cross-discipline conflicts.
• Participate in client meetings and present deliverables with limited oversight.
• Lead construction administration including submittals, RFIs, site observation, and field reports.
• Research and apply building codes and accessibility requirements; coordinate with expediters.
