Job summary

Perkins Eastman is seeking a highly motivated Project Architect in New York to guide projects from pre-schematic design through occupancy. The role emphasizes collaboration, option development, and delivering innovative, code-compliant solutions while leading BIM execution and coordination across teams.

The candidate will work with state and local codes, develop BEPs, manage Revit models, and coordinate with consultants to meet client goals. Hybrid work policy is offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree.
  • 10 years experience.
  • Experience managing multiple aspects of client team and project coordination.
  • Thorough knowledge of State & Local building codes and referenced standards.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with engineers owners and builders.
  • Ability to manage multiple fast paced projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with REVIT, MS Word & Excel, Adobe & Bluebeam.
  • Proficiency with Rhino, Navisworks and REVIT plugins preferred.
  • Architectural registration is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advance design programming and technical solutions in all design phases.
  • Present options through graphical and other means for team and client consideration.
  • Develop innovative, efficient and resilient projects aligned with client goals.
  • Document designs with technical details using REVIT and related software.
  • Lead BIM coordination meetings with clients, consultants and project teams.
  • Apply knowledge of building codes and zoning regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Develop and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and ensure client alignment.
  • Oversee Revit models and Autodesk Construction Cloud setup.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Advance design programming and technical solutions in all design phases
  • Present options through graphical and other means for team and client consideration
  • Develop innovative efficient and resilient projects aligned with client goals
  • Document designs with technical details with a range of software including REVIT
  • Participation in and representation of Perkins Eastman in Owner meetings
  • Apply knowledge of State & Local building codes local zoning regulations and referenced standards
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff
  • Implement the firms BIM vision and standards to ensure consistency quality and efficiency across project processes and deliverables
  • Develop and manage project specific BIM Execution Plans BEPs ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards
  • Manage Revit models and Autodesk Construction Cloud ACC setup and oversee drawing outputs across all phases
  • Conduct clash detection and coordinate resolution processes using Navisworks
  • Lead and participate in BIM coordination meetings with clients consultants and project teams to ensure alignment on model expectations deliverables and timelines
  • Interface with tools such as Dynamo Rhino Grasshopper 3ds Max V Ray Visari and other relevant software
  • Collaborate with the firms global Design & Technology leadership to align digital strategies standards and protocols
  • Serving as the single point of contact for all BIM related matters
  • Oversee plugin deployment software updates printing and publishing of drawing sets
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree
  • 10 years experience
  • Experience managing multiple aspects of client team and project coordination including full documentation coordination with project consultants
  • Thorough knowledge of State & Local building codes and referenced standardsAble to interpret generate communicate and present design intent and manifest that in phase appropriate documentation
  • Excellent problem solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Possessing strong interpersonal skills working with a team that emphasizes collaboration with engineers owners and builders and working in a focused and mutually respectful office environment
  • Ability to manage multiple fast paced projects and deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency with REVIT MS Word & Excel Adobe & Bluebeam is required
  • Proficiency with Rhino Navisworks and REVIT plugins is preferred
  • CPHD LEED andor WELL accreditations are a plus
  • Architectural registration is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Newforma Procore andor other construction project management software is required training available

Salary Range

110k to 125k Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location
