Job description

As a Project Architect II, you will lead key technical design components of complex architectural projects while ensuring alignment with client goals, codes, and sustainability standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate design intent into coordinated, high-quality documentation. This role offers the chance to provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of complex multifamily & mixed use projects.

Performance Objectives
  • Produce accurate, code-compliant project deliverables. Develop architectural models, contract documents, and specifications for small-to-moderate complexity projects, integrating codes, sustainability principles, and material standards, while consistently upholding Performance-Based Design intent throughout project documentation.
  • Lead coordination between specifications and drawings. Take the lead on aligning project specifications with architectural drawings across all deliverables, applying strong proficiency in Revit to produce precise documentation that supports project goals.
  • Manage due diligence and cross-team coordination with autonomy. Independently document existing conditions, prepare plan review submissions, and organize and transfer project files, while coordinating technical designs with internal teams, consultants, and engineers and contributing informed input to project fee and scheduling discussions.
  • Lead reviews and resolve compliance issues to protect quality and schedule. Lead reviews of submittals, drawings, estimates, and calculations for accuracy and compliance; resolve construction-phase issues during site visits and code-related issues with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ), and perform thorough self-checks so every deliverable meets QA/QC standards.
  • Mentor junior staff and strengthen team practices. Actively mentor junior architects, sharing technical knowledge and fostering skill development to build a stronger team and process-improvement feedback.
