Job summary

Katz Architecture is seeking a Project Architect with approximately 6–8 years of experience to join our New York City office. The role focuses on exterior restoration, restoration and preservation of existing buildings, with diverse projects in commercial, residential and cultural sectors.

Qualified candidates will have NYC FISP / Local Law 11 experience, strong detailing, construction-document skills and the ability to lead multi-project efforts while coordinating with clients and consultants.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture.
• Approximately 6–8 years of professional experience.
• Experience with NYC FISP / Local Law 11 projects.
• Significant experience with façade restoration, masonry repair, roofing and waterproofing.
• Experience performing existing-condition investigations and exterior field inspections.
• Experience producing and coordinating construction documents.
• Experience carrying projects through construction administration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• QEWI qualification is highly desirable but not required.
