Job summary

AECOM in Houston, TX seeks a Project Architect to join Buildings + Places. Lead design efforts across commercial, industrial, logistics and interiors sectors, directing multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality architectural solutions.

You will coordinate with engineers and clients, prepare detailed design docs, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior staff. Texas licensure or ability to obtain within a year is required; proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and visualization tools

Qualifications

• Texas licensure or ability to obtain licensure within a year of hire.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and visualization tools Enscape/Lumion.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and sustainability practices.

Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Lead the design process for projects in commercial, industrial, logistics, and interiors sectors, ensuring innovative and functional solutions.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to integrate architectural and technical solutions.
• Documentation: Prepare and oversee detailed design documentation, drawings, specifications, and reports with code compliance.
• Client Interaction: Support client engagements, including presentations and design reviews.
• Team Collaboration: Work with senior architects and project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
