Job summary

Stantec has an opportunity for a Project Architect to lead design development and documentation on complex projects in healthcare and other sectors. The role emphasizes independent work, adherence to codes, budget awareness, and producing coordinated contract documents through all design phases.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams, participate in design reviews, and contribute to business development by nurturing existing client relationships and pursuing new project

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of accessibility codes and building codes.
• Understanding of architectural document production phases and SPEC relationships.
• General knowledge of building construction systems, materials, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and directing project work through life cycle.
• Develop design through sketches, models, diagrams, massing studies and visuals.
• Utilize BIM to develop 3D models of buildings and components.
• Participate in design critiques and pin-ups.
• Apply building codes and regulatory requirements to projects.
• Prepare documentation across site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections and details.
• Participate in bidding, negotiations, addenda, and RFIs.
• Review submittals and supply site observation reports.
