Project Analytics and Reporting, Line-Item Projects (LIP) within the Associate Laboratory Directorate for Plutonium Infrastructure (ALDPI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Integration Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity for an accomplished project professional to partner directly with project leadership in the execution of the Plutonium Infrastructure Directorate capital construction project portfolio.
The Directorate is at the center of execution of capital projects in and around Los Alamos National Laboratory's plutonium pit production facilities for U.S. nuclear weapons. The work is focused on sustaining the current nuclear weapons stockpile and providing life extensions of the stockpile. This position is critically important for the safe and efficient execution of infrastructure projects. The Integration Manager is accountable to the Project Director (PD) for the Line-Item Project Planning and Reporting Division, under Project Analytics and Reporting, and is responsible for establishing, implementing, and continuously improving the systems, processes, tools, and personnel necessary to support effective project planning, performance measurement, forecasting, and executive reporting across the portfolio.
The Integration Manager provides leadership for a technically complex and strategically significant project portfolio with substantial budget authority and high organizational visibility. The position requires strong collaboration with project executives, project sponsors, and cross-functional leadership teams to ensure that project performance information is accurate, defensible, and aligned with mission objectives.
This role is ideal for a leader with deep expertise in project controls, capital project reporting, scheduling, cost management, data integration, analytics, and executive communication who thrives in high-consequence, mission-driven environments.
Demonstrated expert-level knowledge as a leader or manager of projects with significant total project cost or complexity. This requires experience leading the integration of complex technical project organizations, including demonstrated experience leading strategic and tactical planning and execution, customer service, project management, continuous improvement, and management systems associated with earned value management.
The position requires expert knowledge of DOE Order 413.3C and experience reporting Earned Value Management required by the order.
Advanced expert-level knowledge and demonstrated experience in project, program, and portfolio management, estimating, cost and scheduling, including common software tools (e.g., P6, Cobra, Acumen, Power BI). Ability to lead the development and maintenance of complex data analytics tools, involving large datasets across multiple platforms.
Experience supporting independent cost estimates (ICE) and external independent reviews (EIRs) performed by DOE's Office of Project Management for major systems projects.
Demonstrated success building and growing both internal and external relationships with a variety of support organizations and personnel, sponsors, other construction project organizations, higher-level managers, and direct reports.
Demonstrated success guiding and leading program/project efforts with expertise in building and managing multiple integrated project teams and systems.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills for a variety of employees and stakeholders are a must.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing plans or programs to meet or exceed contractual requirements, performance measures, regulations, and laws, including the proven ability to do so while operating within a highly sensitive national security environment.
Expert knowledge of DOE Order 413.3C, Program and Project Management for the Acquisition of Capital Assets, is a requirement.
Position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 8 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Successful record of leading the development of complex institutional integration necessary to communicate to internal stakeholders as well as federal, state, and local government leaders.
Background and experience in all aspects of engineering, procurement, and construction projects preferred.
Demonstrated experience interfacing with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) management and a broad knowledge of current LANL operations and activities.
Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Dual citizenship is permitted in very limited circumstances.
The position is physically located in Richland, WA, at the ALDPI Duty Station.
Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance, and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.

The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.

Incentive Compensation Program: Position is eligible to participate in the Triad Incentive Compensation Program. You must be in an eligible position for a minimum of 3 months, before July 1st and remain in an eligible position as of the end of the fiscal year, September 30th. The annual distribution is prorated based on the number of months in the eligible position.
