Qualifications

Job description

Join Exigent Services as a Project Analyst (Social Worker) and be part of a dynamic team that supports the Defense Suicide Prevention Office (DSPO) directorates in Alexandria, VA with subject matter expertise in the areas of analyzing trends and patterns in suicide prevention data, developing and evaluating evidence based prevention programs, collaborating with military and civilian stakeholders to implement initiatives, providing expert consultation on social work practices related to suicide prevention, and contributing to policy development and program improvement efforts.
The Project Analyst (Social Worker) will:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health or Social Work
  • 1 to 5 years’ of relevant work experience
  • Professional knowledge of social services delivery systems
  • Knowledge of social or behavioral science concepts and theories
  • Experience in conducting interviews and assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Strong skills intact and diplomacy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • In‑depth knowledge of suicide prevention resources for military populations
  • Advanced knowledge of suicide prevention and postvention theories and principles
  • Proficiency in relevant software for project management and data analysis
For this position, you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied statistics, biostatistics, data science, data analytics, quantitative psychology, psychometrics, behavioral data science, public health analytics, mathematics, operations research, decision sciences, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of experience conducting statistical analysis, trend analysis, quantitative research, program evaluation, or performance measurement activities.
  • Experience analyzing large and complex datasets and transforming findings into actionable recommendations
  • Advanced experience in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Python)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members
