Daily Responsibilities

• Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of transportation planning and oversight.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply private and public sector best practices for process improvement and performance measurement.
• Support complex rail initiatives by analyzing data, creating plans, tracking progress, and ensuring projects meet goals.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Work Experience

• One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in the purchasing/contracting area.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and communication tools such as Slack or Teams.

Position Details

Standard hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one (1) hour unpaid lunch break. The COTR may request temporary services for periods exceeding a seven and one half (7.5) hour day or a thirty-seven and one half hour (37.5) hour week. Temporary personnel working six (6) hours or more are required to take a one‑half hour unpaid lunch break. Overtime: Hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one week are considered overtime, all overtime must be approved by the COTR in advance.
