- Perform a full range of CPT coding duties, including reviewing, researching and assigning CPT codes to Labcorp procedures
- Serve as a point of contact for CPT coding related questions
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and present information needed to drive meaningful discussion
- Prepare comments for stakeholders and present solutions for implementation as needed
- Assign CPT coding for Pathology / Laboratory and other disciplines as needed as primary and back up coder
- Train for CPC if not currently certified
- Other as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years relevant experience or Associate degree with 9+ years relevant experience or HS diploma or GED with 11+ years of relevant experience
- 5 years of RCM experience
- 5 years of Laboratory experience
- CPC (AAPC) certification
- 3 years experience in assigning CPT codes
- 3 years of laboratory experience
- 2 years experience with CPT coding, CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), AMA (American Medical Association)
- 1 year of MS Office skills
