Job summary

DLR Group, a design firm focused on elevating human experience, is seeking a Project Administrator in Washington, DC. You will support construction-phase documentation workflows, coordinate with teams, and ensure timely processing of submittals, RFIs, and pay applications.

Ideal candidates have strong organizational and communication skills, knowledge of A/E processes, and the ability to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of A/E construction phase processes and contractual responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in task organization, tracking, and prioritization.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm and manage construction phase contractual responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with construction phase team, including workflows, meetings, and communication.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key team members as primary documentation contact.
  • Establish and maintain tracking and logging for construction documentation workflows.
  • Manage pay applications, ensuring compliance with risk standards and approvals.
  • Handle submittals, RFIs, and cost documentation, ensuring timely processing.
  • Assist with field reports, punch lists, and closeout procedures.

Position Summary

As a Project Administrator at DLR Group, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our projects during the construction phase. You will ensure the smooth execution of standard documentation workflows, organization, and communication tasks essential for the effective functioning of our project teams.

What you will do:

  • Confirm and manage construction phase contractual responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the construction phase team, including workflows, meetings, and communication
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key team members and serve as the primary point of contact for documentation and workflows
  • Establish and maintain tracking and logging for construction documentation workflows
  • Manage pay applications, ensuring compliance with DLR Group’s risk management standards and processing approvals
  • Handle submittals, RFIs, and cost documentation, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Assist with field reports, punch lists, and closeout procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of A/E construction phase processes and contractual responsibilities
  • Proficiency in task organization, completion tracking, and prioritization
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Vantagepoint, Newforma, Procore, and AIA Contract Document software

The suggested hourly rate for this position is:

Hourly Rate

$70,000 - $80,000 USD
