Job summary

Aventia in Hammond, LA is seeking a Project Accounting Technician for full-time in-office work. You will support transactional project accounting activities, including billing, project setup, data entry, documentation, and coordination with project managers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and proficient with accounting ERP systems such as Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint, Excel, and strong communication to ensure timely and accurate billing aligned

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting or billing experience.
• High school diploma required; associates or bachelor's in accounting/finance preferred.
• Experience with project-based businesses; A&E industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project setup in the accounting system and billing terms.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate project data.
• Generate invoices per contracts and milestones.
• Maintain project financial records in ERP systems (Deltek).
• Support accounts receivable and month-end processes.
• Prepare audit-ready billing documentation.
