Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee the financial administration of multiple projects, including setup, billing, revenue recognition, and closeout. You will collaborate with project managers and the billing team to ensure accurate invoicing for private-sector and government clients.

The role requires 4–7 years in project accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with Deltek Vantagepoint.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4-7 years of relevant experience in project accounting, billing, revenue recognition, or contract compliance.
• Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, or client billing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project accounting lifecycle for multiple projects, including opening, contract analysis, setup, billing, maintenance, revenue recognition and closeout.
• Prepare accurate and timely invoices for private-sector and government clients.
• Maintain project financial information and support accounting activities within Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Support FAR-audited and government projects to comply with contract terms and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and billing team to review financials and resolve billing issues.
• Prioritize assignments across projects while meeting billing deadlines.
• Communicate with project managers and leaders across the organization.
• Contribute to development and improvement of project accounting and billing processes.
