Job summary

EMH&T is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead project-based accounting activities for a civil engineering environment. You will supervise billing, accounts receivable, financial reporting, contract management, and project accounting to drive profitability.

You will work with project managers and departments to ensure accurate timekeeping, budgeting, billing, and cash flow, while guiding system upgrades and best practices in Deltek Vantagepoint.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable, collections, cash management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers to manage project billing, accounts receivable, and client collection activities.
• Monitor project invoicing, cash receipts, and outstanding balances to ensure timely collection of revenues.
• Track and report A/R aging and collection efforts
• Assist Project Managers in reviewing project financial performance, billing status, and revenue realization.
