Job summary

Trane Technologies and Stellar Energy are expanding their Data Center Finance team in Jacksonville. The Project Accountant will partner with operations, engineering and project management to execute project-based financial controls, manage budgets, and ensure accurate revenue recognition and POC conversions.

The role requires 3+ years in project or construction accounting within manufacturing/engineering, strong Excel, and experience with JD Edwards or ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional certification (CPA/CMA/MBA) or progress toward one is highly desired.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in project accounting, construction accounting, or cost accounting within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• JDE Edwards system experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly & quarterly closings with a team of project accountants.
• Lead budget recasting & project costing in JD Edwards.
• Execute detailed variance analysis with cross-functional partnership and report drivers.
• Support ad-hoc corporate audits & compliance related to POC & revenue recognition.
