Job summary

RealREPP is partnering with a growing MEP Design Build firm to hire a Temp to Hire Project Accountant. The role focuses on project billing, cost analysis, and budget reconciliation in a dynamic, collaborative environment within a stable organization.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience, with 3–5 years of project accounting, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years’ of project accounting experience preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• Strong organization skills with high level of attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Compiles, prepares and analyzes monthly project billings per contract requirements.
• Performs financial analysis and reconciliation of project costs versus project budget.
• Manages vendor compliance, insurance, lien waivers, retention and W-9s
• Produces and analyzes job performance and profitability through jobs cost tracking reports.
• Assists in preparation of status reports and maintains accurate project statuses and budget information in COINs.
• Identifies and resolves basic and more complex project-related accounting issues and resolves in a timely manner.
