Job summary

RealREPP is collaborating with a growing MEP Design Build Construction firm to hire a Temp to Hire Project Accountant in Portland. The role focuses on compiling, analyzing, and reporting monthly project billings and costs per contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years’ of project accounting experience preferred
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Strong organization skills with high level of attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Compile, prepare and analyze monthly project billings per contract requirements.
• Perform financial analysis and reconciliation of project costs versus budget.
• Manage vendor compliance, insurance, lien waivers, retention and W-9s.
• Produce and analyze job performance and profitability through cost-tracking reports.
• Assist in preparation of status reports and maintain accurate project statuses and budget information.
• Identify and resolve basic and complex project-related accounting issues in a timely manner.
