Job summary

Dinkins Construction LLC, a family-led commercial builder in Ocala, FL, seeks a Project Accountant to own project financial reporting from contract to closeout, AR, and monthly corporate reporting. You will deliver GL-reconciled WIP, lead cost-to-complete reviews with PMs, and prepare AIA draw packages for CFO sign-off.

The role oversees two bookkeepers, supervises AP/AR, and supports the accounting office as the company grows, with a salary range of $85,000–$105,000 and a path to Controller.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably including 2+ years at a commercial general contractor
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent progressive experience
• Has prepared WIP schedules with over/under billings and led cost-to-complete reviews with PMs; experience with AIA G702/G703, retainage, lien waivers

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close package: bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, AR/AP sub-ledger reconciliations, and draft financial statements for CFO review
• Prepare and review AIA G702/G703 pay applications, change orders, and track retainage receivable/payable
• Lead and supervise AP/AR workflow, ensure compliance with Florida lien law and vendor payments
• Coordinate with CFO/CEO on bank, bonding, and CPA reports; document procedures and internal controls
