Job summary

Paryani Construction, an Atlanta-based general contractor, seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to own the accounting function, including month-end close, WIP, payroll, and staff development. This hands-on leadership role reports to ownership and offers a path toward Controller.

You will partner with project managers and the outside CPA to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial statements as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. 2+ years in construction accounting.
• Hands-on experience owning a WIP schedule and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience running a full-cycle month-end close independently.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and journal entry and reconciliation skills.
• Experience processing payroll and supervising accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle month-end close and related reporting.
• Produce interim P&L and balance sheet statements for ownership and bank reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts and intercompany accounts.
• Maintain GAAP compliance with ASC 606 construction accounting.
• Own WIP schedule end to end and analyze over/under billing.
• Lead payroll processing and PTO accrual tracking.
• Supervise and develop project accounting staff; mentor growth.
• Act as primary contact for CPA firm, bank, and surety.
