Job summary

Hooper Deforest, a Wisconsin-based electric power and mechanical contractor with a century-long legacy, seeks an accounting/administrative support professional for project managers and their projects.

You will handle accounts receivable/payable, payroll, project billing, and job cost accounting in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Strong organization, judgment, and a client-service attitude are essential; experience with COINs and AI-enabled tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Business Finance/Accounting field.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Strong proofreading skills for reports and documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Handle project billing and payroll processing.
• Assist with job cost accounting and general ledger support.
• Maintain inventory for job costing and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with project managers and use COINs for project setups and tracking.
• Support data analysis and reporting with AI-powered tools.
