Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is seeking a Project Accountant to support corporate and project finance for architectural/engineering projects in Canton, MI. The role focuses on invoicing, contract data management, and project setup in Deltek Vantagepoint.

Ideal candidates have an accounting or finance degree and at least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in architecture or engineering. Strong Excel and Word skills and an independent, deadline-driven work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
• 3+ years accounting experience, Architecture or Engineering preferred.
• Construction or professional service firms experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with accounting software packages, Deltek Vision / Vantagepoint, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and be deadline driven.
• Detail-oriented problem solver.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain contract files including client and subcontractor agreements; assist project managers with budgets and contract data.
• Setup and maintenance of projects in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Collaborate with project managers to track monthly invoices, change orders, and additional service requests.
• Assist project managers and leadership with accounts receivable and payable and collections.
• Coordinate with clients and subcontractors' accounting departments.
• Other accounting tasks including accounts payable and unit entry.
