Job summary

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is seeking a Project Accountant in Maumee, OH to support project finance from invoicing to budget tracking.

You will work with Project Managers and Principals to ensure accurate contract data and timely financial reporting. Candidates with an accounting degree and 3+ years in architecture/engineering or professional services are encouraged; proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
• 3+ years accounting experience, Architecture or Engineering preferred.
• Construction or professional service firms experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with accounting software packages, Deltek Vision / Vantagepoint, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and be deadline driven.
• Detail-oriented problem solver.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain contract information and files for client and subcontractor agreements; assist PMs with budgets.
• Set up and maintain projects in Deltek Vantagepoint accounting software.
• Track monthly invoices, additional service requests and change orders; travel to other offices if needed.
• Assist PMs and leadership with account collections, receivables and payables.
• Coordinate with clients and subcontractor accounting departments.
• Other accounting duties as required.
