Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a project accountant to join our Finance department. The role supports projects nationwide in a collaborative, employee-owned firm known for quality and innovation.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, creating project records, reconciling payments, and generating financial reports. Candidates may hold a Bachelor's or Associate degree with related experience, or four years of invoicing if no degree. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field is required.
• Associate degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field plus two years invoicing experience also acceptable.
• If no degree, at least four years of relevant invoicing or billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices for assigned department managers.
• Create projects in our accounting software, including billing terms and project budgets.
• Investigate client payments and outstanding invoice inquiries.
• Assist with research and resolution of client questions.
• Run standard reports for management.
• Work closely with project and department managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and project billing.
• Compile and update finance processes and procedures.
