Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent from an accredited college or university, or 4+ years of related accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze information.
• Strong communication skills and GAAP understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assimilates data from multiple sources to account for resources used on job.
• Reviews documentation from other personnel, clients, cost reports and auditors.
• Maintains project files ensuring completeness and accuracy; reconciles invoices and records.
• Communicates with project personnel and auditors; resolves audit issues.
• Analyzes trends and recommends process improvements.
• Data collection and entry according to GAAP.
• Produces specialized reporting for customer needs.
• Review labor hours submitted by field personnel for project tasks.
• Examine all project expenditures to ensure precise billing and cost estimates.
• Investigates project variances.
• Compile project information and data.
• Maintain cash flow consistency.
• Report opportunities for additional billings or cost savings.
• Create and submit government reports to proper agencies.
• Travel as needed.
