The Project Accountant 1 role focuses on client invoicing, budgeting, and financial controls across projects, with collaboration across departments to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance.

Ideal candidates bring an associate degree in a related field (or equivalent), EVMS familiarity, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidential information handling and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Handle client invoicing, collections management and project budgeting; assist with A/P, timesheets and expense reports.
• Execute accurate contract documentation, administration and maintenance including fee and budget entry.
• Provide timely project performance data and resolve financial issues with project staff.
• Coordinate the project accounting system and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Support multiple project managers and staff daily; perform other duties as needed.
