JDL Search Partners is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Boston. This role reports to the CFO and will handle a wide range of accounting functions, including GL reconciliations, AP/AR processing, and project cost analysis.

The ideal candidate has hands-on accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to research discrepancies to resolution. Construction industry experience and Procore knowledge are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a construction or construction management environment.
• Understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently research discrepancies and bring issues through resolution.

Responsabilidades

• Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and export to accounting system.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies of outstanding balances.
• Process and manage accounts payable transactions and vendor payments.
• Process accounts receivable transactions, monitor collections and maintain customer records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate coding and processing of financials.
• Process checks and EFT payments; maintain vendor records and W-9s.
• Support project managers with accounting and project financial questions.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation, disposals, and supporting docs.
• Process monthly sales and use tax payments.
• Manage IT subscriptions and vendor billings.
• Review subcontractor pre-qualifications and follow up on missing info.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities and reconciliations.
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations and job costing.
