The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Corporate/Administrative team.

The role focuses on invoicing, project setup in Deltek Vantagepoint, and working with project managers to prepare budgets and contract information. Candidates should have an accounting/finance degree and 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in architecture or engineering; proficiency with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, Excel and Word is expected; strong communication

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
• 3+ years accounting experience, Architecture or Engineering preferred.
• Construction or professional service firms experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with accounting software packages, Deltek Vision / Vantagepoint, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and be deadline driven.
• Detail-oriented problem solver.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain contract information and files for client and subcontractor agreements; work with Project Managers & Principals on budgets.
• Setup and maintenance of projects in Deltek Vantagepoint accounting software.
• Track monthly invoices, additional service requests and change orders; may visit other offices.
• Provide assistance to Project Managers and Corporate Leadership in account collections, receivables and payables.
• Collaborate with clients and subcontractor accounting departments.
• Other accounting responsibilities may include accounts payable & unit entry.
