Job summary

AMS Industries Inc. in Woodridge, IL is looking for a Project Accountant to support the accounting function and financial reporting from project open through completion.

You will work with team members across the organization and report to the Corporate Controller. This role includes coding subcontract invoices, issuing Certificates of Insurance, and acting as a liaison between accounting and other departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, associate's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Positive disposition with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the position, with self-motivation and a desire to assume more responsibility.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
• Construction industry experience.
• Experience with Spectrum or proprietary financial software.

Responsibilities

• Generate customer invoices, lien waivers, and other related billing paperwork as requested by project managers and client service representatives.
• Issue Certificates of Insurance as requested.
• Open new jobs in the accounting system and provide financial assistance through project completion.
• Attend project manager meetings and assist with financial reporting.
• Code and enter subcontract invoices into the accounting system.
• Function as a liaison between accounting personnel and others within the organization.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities reasonable and consistent with the position as assigned.
