Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of project accounting experience in real estate development or construction.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting, including job costing, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, AIA billing, and development draw process.
• Proficiency with Yardi Voyager; experience with Yardi Job Cost module is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and drive resolution independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage AIA billing processes in collaboration with the construction team.
• Set up and track project costs across multiple entities and job phases, ensuring alignment with budgets and contracts.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, commitments, and actual costs.
• Prepare and analyze monthly job cost reports and variance analyses for project managers.
• Prepare and submit monthly lender draw packages, including supporting schedules and documentation.
• Review and approve project budgets, change orders, and financial forecasts.
• Maintain all project vendor contacts and payment instructions in accounting system.
• Support month-end close, including journal entries and accruals.
• Assist in strengthening internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
