Ryan Companies Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Accountant for our Mission Critical sector at the Minneapolis headquarters.

This hybrid role supports financial and reporting for assigned projects, including invoicing, billing, contract administration, and internal controls. You will partner with Project Managers and the Director of Construction, perform cost reviews and monthly projections, manage cost events, and ensure compliance with owner and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounting experience in a commercial environment.
• 2 years in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or business-related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of each construction project and owner contract requirements.
• Create and administer owner billings to schedule and timekeeping requirements.
• Proactively follow up on open receivables and cost reviews.
• Support Cost Project Manager with monthly financial projections and cost events.
• Develop and document processes ensuring audit trails and compliance.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Director of Construction on financial needs.

This role will be in our headquarters office in Minneapolis, MN. This individual has responsibility for financial and reporting requirements for assigned construction management projects including invoice processing, billing processing, contract administration, execution of procedures and processes based on Ryan and owner’s requirements to ensure proper controls, working with construction accounting department and the applicable Project Manager and/or Director of Construction.
