Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Project accounting or professional services experience strongly preferred.
• Architecture/engineering/design or other project-based industry experience is attractive.
• Strong understanding of billing, AR, AP and revenue recognition.
• Excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to respond promptly to stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Project Managers and senior leaders throughout the project life cycle.
• Establish and maintain new projects within the accounting system.
• Prepare percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Manage monthly project billing and invoicing.
• Review project financial information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Process consultant and vendor invoices associated with projects.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and communicate with clients regarding collections.
• Maintain accurate project financial records and supporting documentation.
• Serve as a financial resource to project teams and translate accounting information for non-financial professionals.
• Develop strong, responsive working relationships across the organization.
