Job summary
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Project Accountant for our Sarasota, FL office. This on-site role involves monthly financial analysis, revenue recognition, and close collaboration with Project Managers across disciplines. You will manage billing, invoicing, contracts, and receivables while traveling monthly to other regional offices.
A strong accounting foundation and team-oriented mindset are essential. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of accounting experience and a degree in accounting or finance.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.
- High degree of professionalism and strong people skills.
- Excellent team player.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Experience using computerized accounting systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly financial analysis and ongoing revenue recognition.
- Collaborate with Project Managers across disciplines.
- Meet multiple critical monthly deadlines.
- Ensure all billing transactions are recorded in MIS system.
- Prepare invoices and complete monthly billing.
- Conduct contract management and review.
- Coordinate and pursue receivables.
- Monthly travel to other offices within the region.
