Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Tampa, FL is seeking a Project Accountant to join our office. The role focuses on monthly financial analysis, revenue recognition, and partnership with project managers to keep bills accurate and on schedule.

You will prepare invoices, manage contract reviews, pursue receivables, and ensure data is entered in the MIS system. The position requires solid accounting fundamentals, Excel and Word proficiency, and strong teamwork in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.
• High degree of professionalism and strong people skills.
• Must be an excellent team player.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Word required.
• Experience using computerized accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Monthly financial analysis and on-going revenue recognition
• Work with Project Managers in a variety of disciplines
• Meeting multiple critical deadlines on a monthly basis
• Ensure all billing transactions are completed and accurately recorded in MIS system
• Prepare invoices and complete monthly billing
• Contract management and review
• Coordinate and pursue receivables
• Monthly travel to other offices within the region
