Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Project Accountant for our Sacramento, CA office to handle monthly financial analysis and revenue recognition, working closely with Project Managers. This in-office role requires timely monthly billing, contract reviews, and coordination of receivables, with periodic travel to other regional offices.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of accounting experience, a degree in accounting/finance, strong Excel/Word skills, and a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.
• Excellent teamwork and strong people skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Experience using computerized accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Monthly financial analysis and on-going revenue recognition
• Work with Project Managers in a variety of disciplines
• Meeting multiple critical deadlines on a monthly basis
• Ensure all billing transactions are completed and accurately recorded in MIS system
• Prepare invoices and complete monthly billing
• Contract management and review
• Coordinate and pursue receivables
• Monthly travel to other offices within the region

Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000 depending on relevant experience
