Global Roofing Group is seeking a Project Accountant to manage project financials from contract approval through closeout within a POD team. You will handle project setup in Acumatica, budgeting, billing, cost tracking, and AR support to ensure profitability and healthy cash flow.

You will collaborate with Project Directors, Project Managers, and Finance, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance while coordinating with owners and customers on billing and contract requirements.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of project accounting or construction accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction billing, schedules of values, retention, and WIP reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting systems; Acumatica experience strongly preferred.
• Strong spreadsheet and financial tracking skills, with close attention to detail and financial accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and proactively identify and elevate financial or compliance risks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with operations, Finance, and project teams.

As a Project Accountant, you will partner with Project Directors, Project Managers, and Finance within an assigned operational team (POD) to manage project financials from contract approval through closeout. Your work will include project setup, construction billing, cost tracking, compliance documentation, and accounts receivable support in Acumatica, helping maintain accurate financial reporting, project profitability, and healthy cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Set up approved projects in Acumatica, verifying contract details against Salesforce, executed agreements, and internal documentation.
• Enter and maintain project budgets, billing terms, retention percentages, tax details, bonding information, and compliance documentation.
• Prepare project billings, including schedules of values (SOVs), invoices, lien waivers, and supporting documents; submit through customer portals in accordance with contract and owner requirements.
• Coordinate billing revisions and documentation updates as project conditions change.
• Track project costs and maintain cost‑to‑complete (C2C) summaries; support weekly work‑in‑progress (WIP) reporting and keep Acumatica and internal financial trackers accurate.
• Support change order execution and maintain project files that meet contractual and customer documentation requirements.
• Partner with Project Directors to monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, document collection communications, and help forecast expected collections.
• Process vendor payment requests aligned with project progress and coordinate with Project Managers and Finance to support accurate, timely payments.
• Participate in contract reviews, WIP meetings, and recurring operational team financial meetings; proactively identify and elevate financial risks, billing issues, and compliance concerns.
• Perform related duties within the scope of the role to support business operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Three to five years of project accounting or construction accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction billing, schedules of values, retention, and WIP reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting systems; Acumatica experience strongly preferred.
• Strong spreadsheet and financial tracking skills, with close attention to detail and financial accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and proactively identify and elevate financial or compliance risks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with operations, Finance, and project teams.
