This role offers a mix of project finance and wider accounting responsibilities, suited to someone who enjoys working with project managers while remaining hands‑on with the general ledger, reconciliations and month‑end close.

The Role

• Manage project setup, budgets, billing rates and financial records.
• Prepare project invoices in line with contracts and resolve billing queries.
• Monitor project costs, unbilled revenue, WIP and profitability.
• Work with project managers to review budgets and investigate variances.
• Support general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Assist with financial reporting, accounts receivable and collections.
• Maintain accurate accounting and project information within Unanet.

Your Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Accounting or Finance.
• Relevant project accounting experience, preferably within engineering, architecture, environmental consulting or a similar project-based business.
• At least 1–2 years of hands‑on corporate/general accounting experience, including GL, journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• A broader accounting background beyond project billing alone.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence communicating with project managers.
• Unanet experience is advantageous; Deltek Vision, Vantagepoint or Ajera experience is also relevant.
• Able to work on‑site in Pine Brook, NJ.
