Job summary

Genuine Search Group is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to manage and report on real estate development and construction projects in New York. You will handle project costs, budgets, invoices, and expenditures, supporting monthly close and reconciliations while ensuring accurate cost allocation.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project managers and development teams to monitor variances, maintain schedules, and drive precise financial reporting across multiple active projects.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of accounting experience, with project accounting experience preferred.
• Real estate, construction, or development accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working for a real estate owner/developer is ideal.
• Candidates coming from a general contractor or construction environment will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of project costs, budgets, and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
