Job summary

Sammons Industrial, a multisite employee-owned family of businesses, seeks an accounting professional in Carrollton, TX. You will support monthly close, manage payables/receivables, and monitor project finances.

The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and collaboration with the leadership team. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance and 3+ years of experience, with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems like QuickBooks or NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with solid knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivables.
• Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly accounting close and reporting cycle, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and Percentage of Completion (POC) entries.
• Monitor vendor and subcontractor invoices, commissions, compliance documentation, and overall project financial activity.
• Generate and analyze reports including Payroll, A/R, A/P, Contract Status, and Job Cost, identifying discrepancies and trends.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and continuous improvement of workflows, procedures, and internal controls.

How You’ll Make a Difference

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring
