Job summary

CFS in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Project Accountant to own the project accounting lifecycle from setup through invoicing and collections support. You will work extensively in Microsoft Business Central/Dynamics NAV and build expertise across project accounting, tax compliance, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

Responsibilities include project billings (AIA/LBM), cash application, tax reporting support, and assisting with month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Microsoft Business Central required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Background in project accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or general accounting.

• Create sales agreements, establish projects and budgets in Business Central/NAV, and maintain project accounting records.
• Prepare project billings, including AIA and LBM invoices, and support ongoing billing administration.
• Administer state income tax correspondence and assist with monthly sales and use tax reporting and payments.
• Apply cash receipts, maintain supporting documentation, and assist with collections on past-due accounts.
• Perform select monthly general ledger account reconciliations and support month-end accounting activities.
