Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. is seeking a Tool & Die Journeyman in Stockton, CA to build and repair progressive dies, machine parts, and create prototypes in a fast-paced, high-volume sheet metal environment.

You will lead die assembly, verify tolerances, and ensure tooling meets production drawings. The role offers long-term career growth, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits, with relocation not required.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in a tool and die shop with progressive dies and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret production prints and drawings.
• Strong knowledge of measuring tools and inspection procedures.
• Commitment to safety and quality in a high-volume shop.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support building progressive dies and tooling.
• Machine parts using lathe, mill, drill press, and grinders.
• Assemble dies from 2D/3D CAD designs and verify dimensions.
• Assist in die function development and tryout processes.
• Train Helpers and Apprentices in required skills.
