Job summary

Baptist Health Jacksonville seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a full-time night shift. The ideal candidate has Medical-Surgical and post-surgical nursing experience and proven nursing leadership capabilities.

You will partner with the Nurse Manager to oversee daily PCU operations, mentor staff, ensure safe, high-quality patient care, and coordinate admissions, transfers, and throughput in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Post-surgical nursing experience.
• Progressive acute care nursing experience.
• Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or other nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations and clinical leadership of the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Lead, coach, and support Registered Nurses and patient care staff.
• Promote safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care for adult medical and surgical patients.
• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, discharges, staffing assignments, and patient throughput.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care and support interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
• Provide direct patient care as needed while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
