Job summary

Baptist Health Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for our Surgical Oncology Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to lead daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure patient-centered care on a fast-paced unit.

The role requires RN with Medical-Surgical, post-surgical and progressive acute care nursing experience, prior leadership such as Charge Nurse or Clinical Coordinator, and current RN license with BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Experience Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Post-surgical nursing experience.
• Progressive acute care nursing experience.
• Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or other nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations and clinical leadership of the unit.
• Lead, coach, and support Registered Nurses and patient care staff.
• Promote safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care for adult medical and surgical patients.
• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, discharges, staffing assignments, and patient throughput.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care and support interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
• Provide direct patient care as needed while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
