Job summary

Atrium Health Kings Mountain is seeking a registered nurse for the 2 North/Progressive Care unit to deliver direct patient care for adults with diverse acute conditions in a collaborative team.

Expect strong clinical judgment, efficient time management, and excellent communication in a fast-paced environment with electronic health records; RN licensure and BLS are required, BSN preferred based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a board-approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license (multi-state compact) or eligible for licensure in the state(s) of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Maintains safety culture and accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• May float to other units as needed.
