Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical PCU to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with departmental standards and nursing models. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to advocate for patients and families, supporting outcomes and the nursing profession.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, med administration, timely documentation, and patient education, with a focus on compassionate care and safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia.
• 1 year Med-Surg experience required.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and responsive patient support.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, medications, and follow-up, translating medical terms as needed.
