Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Med/Surg Registered Nurse for the 5 West Med/Surg team. You will deliver patient-centered care under GA standards, collaborate with providers, and advocate for patients and families to ensure outstanding outcomes.

You will assess patients at admission and during shifts, administer medications, document care, respond to requests, and educate patients and families about conditions and plans, using clear explanations.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN GA license must be active and clear.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor therapy, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and respond promptly to patient requests.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up steps.
