Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• Critical Care Course completion preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year as staff RN in acute care hospital; CCU/ICU preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the ICU including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and monitor hemodynamics, diagnostic results, and treatments.

Education

Current and valid state RN License

Current BLS certificate

Completion of Critical Care Course

Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire

Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire

Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital

Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
