Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) in the 9E Progressive Care Unit. Under RN supervision, the PCT provides direct patient care and supports age-appropriate, culturally sensitive needs, helping to maintain a clean, safe environment that promotes patient and family wellbeing.

The role includes assisting with ADLs, specimen collection, IV catheter management, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of direct care experience or completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed nursing fundamentals in BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs including bathing, toileting, transfers, ambulation and feeding.
• Collect and send specimens including blood and blood cultures; manage peripheral IV catheters.
• Accurately record patient information and required data in documentation systems.
• Support care for patients with pulmonary, renal, diabetes, and multi-system conditions in a progressive unit.
