Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a PCT to support direct patient care under a registered nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, collecting specimens, and IV care in a progressive care environment. Training is provided and benefits begin on day one.

Shifts available include 6:30 am–3:00 pm, 2:30 pm–11:00 pm, and 10:30 pm–7:00 am. Prior care experience or related coursework is valued; student nurses may qualify. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year of direct care experience or successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
• The PCT assists patients in completing ADLs including bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation and feeding.
• Collects and sends specimens including blood and blood cultures and inserts/removes peripheral IV catheters; records patient information and required data for documentation.
• Care for critically ill cardiac patients in a progressive care setting.
