SHINE Systems in Manassas, VA is seeking a software engineer to contribute to real-time TSG-style systems for naval readiness. You will work across Java, React, C++, and other modern languages in a collaborative team environment. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, or CS and have about 5 years of relevant experience.
U.S. security clearance eligibility is required, with company-supported IAT Level I certification.
Develop and enhance Tactical Signature Guidance (TSG) systems, including sonar TDAs across multiple production code baselines.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software challenges while contributing innovative solutions.
Learn and apply new programming languages and technologies, with mentorship and support from experienced teammates.
Occasionally support hardware system configuration and build-out, gaining exposure to full system integration.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science or other degree that provides software development expertise equivalent to standard computer science curriculum
Experience: Approximately 5 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
Designing and developing real-time acoustic signal processing algorithms
Building parallel processing solutions
Working with microservices
Developing software for signal processing, real-time data analysis, or visualization/simulation systems
Clearance: Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
Certification: Must be willing to earn an IAT Level I (or higher) certification after hire (company-supported)
