Job summary

TAP Engineering seeks a CNO Analyst / Programmer Level 2 to design, develop, and enhance advanced software tools for mission-focused environments. The role emphasizes low-level programming, networking, and system integration across Windows and Unix/Linux platforms.

You will lead end-to-end data flows, support multi-platform tool development, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-performance software.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 8+ years in software engineering; 6+ years with a Master's degree.
• Strong programming in C, C++, Java, Python, Assembly.
• Experience with network socket programming and IP/TCP protocols.
• Experience developing on Windows and Unix/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance custom software tools and capabilities.
• Develop and manage end-to-end data flows within software systems.
• Build applications across Windows, UNIX/Linux, and embedded or mobile environments.
• Write and maintain code in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Python.
• Perform advanced debugging, testing, and validation of software components.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and software readiness activities.
• Develop and deliver technical documentation and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize software solutions.
• Provide technical input and guidance on system architecture and implementation.
